British Columbia: Tech draw of BC PNP held again selects 74 applicants
Aug 24, 2021: Tech draw of BC PNP held again selects 74 applicants. To qualify the applicants were required to have a minimum CRS score of 80. Also, applicants have been selected from the following categories:
Skills Immigration (S.I)
- Skilled Worker
- International Graduate
Express Entry BC (EEBC)
- Skilled Worker
- International Graduate
Besides, in comparison to the Aug 10 BC PNP Tech draw, the current draw selected 23 more applicants. However, the CRS score remains constant at 80.
British Columbia’s Tech Pilot was launched in May 2017. And since then selects applicants that can grow the tech sector of the province. One of the main terms for getting in ITA in the BC PNP Tech draw is that your occupation must fall under 29 eligible tech occupations. So, if you meet this term including other terms then your chances of getting an ITA are higher.
Moreover, if you have an ITA under the EEBC category then it means you have:
- An active Express Entry (EE) profile.
- Applied to 1 of the EE sub-streams such as:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Also, meet Human Capital Factors:
- Age
- Education Level
- Work Experience
- Language Skill Level
- Besides applied to 1 of the BC PNP EEBC sub-streams.
- Finally, have a qualifying CRS score of 80 or more.
Once you get a nomination against your EE profile, you will get an extra 600 CRS score. Also, this will increase your chances of getting an ITA to apply for Canada PR. And the BC PNP Tech draw’s CRS cut-off stays consistent at 80. As seen from past draws.
If you have the skills in the area BC wants you to have then you will get a nomination for PR in Canada.
