Skilled Worker with Family Support
Who can apply?
To apply under the Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support stream, the applicant with family support must:
- Firstly, be a close relative of the family supporter.
- The applicant or its spouse or common-law partner must be a non-dependent child, brother, sister, niece, nephew, or grandchild of the family supporter.
- Secondly, are between the age group of 22 to 50.
- Also, give proof of language skill level (English/French)
- Have education level, qualifications, and licenses to do job duties in New Brunswick.
- A minimum of 3 years of a full-time academic degree or
- A minimum of a 2-year full-time diploma in a specific trade.
- Agree to live and work in New Brunswick.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of work experience within 5 years in the intended occupation in the province.
- Besides, have a job in 1 of the following NOC Skill Level:
- O, A, B – Skill levels
- Skill level C, Category 1, 3, 7, 8, 9
- Skill level D, Category 1, 3, 7, 8, 9
- Further, meet all the terms.
- Finally, have funds to settle in New Brunswick.
- A minimum of CAD $10,000, and
- Additional CAD $2,000 for each accompanying family member.
Who can become a family supporter under the Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support stream?
To become a family supporter of the main applicant, do the following:
- Are a close relative of the main applicant who is a non-dependent child, brother, sister, niece, nephew, or grandchild.
- Are a Canadian, or permanent resident of New Brunswick. Also are living full-time in the province.
- Have been running a business in the province for the past 12 months, or
- Have been working in the province for at least 12 months.
- Also, the job falls under 1 of the following NOC Skill Levels:
- Skill levels O, A, B
- Skill level C, Category 1, 3, 7, 8, 9
- Must be able to support itself financially.
- In the past have not received financial support through the New Brunswick Social Assistance Program, federal Employment Insurance, or Resettlement Assistance Program within the last 12 months.
- Will be participating in an interview with an Official from the Population growth Division.
- Will help the applicant with its settlement plan.
- Agree to support 1 applicant at a time.
Besides, to support the Skilled Worker applicant as a Supporter, it must not have:
- Earlier sponsored a family member through Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) Family Sponsorship Program but failed to meet all the terms of the Sponsorship Agreement.
- In the past supported a family member through NB PNP, who is no more living or working in New Brunswick.
- Have defaulted a court order for child support and alimony.
- Have a criminal history or are currently charged, and/or are in prison.
How to apply to NB PNP Skilled Worker Applicants with Family Support stream?
To apply do the following:
- Submit a complete application with all supporting documents.
- NB PNP will assess and review the application and if found satisfactory, will send a written confirmation of the nomination.
- Finally, settle in New Brunswick.
