Saskatchewan holds general draw and special draw on July 6 2022
After a gap of 2 months, Saskatchewan shared details of its latest draw. Where it selected applicants in 2 separate draws. The details of the same are as the following:
Draw 1 – Special draw targeting Ukrainians
- SINP selected 5 applicants under the SINP Occupations in-demand sub-stream. Also, the CRS score is set at 61.
Draw 2 – General Draw
- SINP issues a total of 504 ITAs. CRS score requirement is different for each sub-category.
- Occupations in-demand sub-stream – 73 CRS score. Also, 398 applicants have an ITA in this draw.
- Express Entry sub-stream – 85 CRS score. Also, 106 applicants have an ITA in this draw.
However, to qualify for the special draw, the applicant’s country of residence had to be Ukraine. The special draw is put in place by the federal govt and supported by provinces to help Ukrainians move to Canada safely and quickly.
Whereas for the general draw applicants had to meet sub-stream terms and match or exceed the qualifying score.
Besides, in case you get an ITA for nomination under the SINP Express Entry sub-stream then you will benefit the most. This is because to get the same you need to have:
- Active Express Entry (EE) profile
- Have applied to 1 of the EE sub-streams such as:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Also, meet Human Capital Factors:
- Age
- Education
- Work Experience
- Language Skills
- Besides, have applied to the SINP EE sub-stream.
- Finally, have a qualifying CRS score of 73.
After nomination, you will get an extra 600 CRS score in the EE pool. This will increase your chances of getting permanent residence in Canada.
