PEI Express Entry

PEI Express Entry (PEI EE) program

Who cannot apply to PEI EE program?

You cannot apply if:

  • Illegal resident in Canada.
  • You are working in the province on an open-work permit but do not meet the required terms such as:
    • Minimum 6 months of full-time work experience for a PEI employer.
    • At the time of application, your work permit has minimum 4 months validity.
  • You are in Canada on study permit but are not studying.

Check your eligibility

To be eligible to apply in this stream you must have an active Express Entry (EE) profile. And to do so you must apply and meet the terms of one of the following streams:

  • Federal Skilled Workers Program
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program
  • Canadian Experience Class

In addition, you can apply for permanent residence as per these 2 scenarios:

  • Apply without a job offer in PEI.
  • Apply with a job offer in PEI.

Note – If you have a PEI job offer and are living in the province then your chances of getting a Canada PR are high.

How to Apply?

EOI system – 3 step process

Step 1 – Create an EOI profile in the system and meet its 6 point selection factors. If you meet the criteria then your profile is given a score.

Step 2 – If your profile has the highest score with PEI connection then you will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to PEI PNP.

Step 3 – PEI PNP will review your complete application and if found satisfactory will nominate you to apply to IRCC for permanent residence in Canada.

Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile

If you meet the terms of the above-mentioned EE streams then you must create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile. Now an EOI is not an application but rather shows your interest in applying to PEI PNP Express Entry category. And to do so you must create your profile in the PEI Expression of Interest system.

EOI Points Grid

When you submit an EOI then you must meet the following terms to successfully compete in the EOI pool and land a nomination to apply for a Canada PR.

The grid is divided into 6 areas and each grid awards certain points as per the information that you submit along with your profile. The maximum points that will be awarded are 100.
