Ontario selects 2552 skilled trades profiles in first OINP 2024 draw

After Express Entry, British Columbia, and Manitoba, Ontario selects 2552 skilled trades profiles in first OINP 2024 draw. The details of the first OINP PNP Skilled Trades Stream draw are:

  • Firstly, 2,552 applicants have an NOI.
  • Secondly, the CRS score range is 350-424.
  • Also, applicants whose profile comes under 49 targeted skilled trades occupations have an NOI.
  • In addition, these people created their profiles in the Express Entry (EE) System between January 11, 2023 and January 11, 2024.

So, looking at the above details we can see a higher number of skilled trades profiles have an NOI. For Ontario to begin its First OINP draw under the skilled trades stream is not new. Because in 2023 too OINP held its first draw on Jan 13, 2023, under the same stream.

However, in comparison to the 2023 first OINP draw we see very strong positive changes in the Jan 11, 2024, OINP draw such as:

  • Firstly, 1300 more applicants have a PNP invitation.
  • Secondly, the CRS score range is Jan 13, 2023: 336-506 and Jan 11, 2024: 350-424.
    • The upper CRS range limit is lower. But we do see a higher base CRS range limit.
  • Also, the current draw targets 49 skilled trades profiles. Whereas the first 2023 OINP draw targeted 41 profiles.

As a result, we can see that Ontario is opening 2024 year on a higher note.
