Oct 6 BC PNP Tech Pilot draw selects 72 applicants

British Columbia held the 1st Tech Pilot of Oct 2020. On Oct 6 BC PNP tech pilot draw selects 72 applicants from IT occupations.

On Oct 6 BC PNP tech pilot draw selects 72 applicants and issued 72 Invitations to Apply (ITA). Also, the selected applicants can now apply for permanent residence in Canada. The applicants were selected under the following streams of BC PNP:

Skills Immigration (S.I)

  • Skilled Worker
  • International Graduate

Express Entry BC (EEBC)

  • Skilled Worker
  • International Graduate

Besides, to qualify, the applicants needed a CRS score of 80.

In case you received an ITA under the EEBC stream then it means:

  • Firstly, you have an active Express Entry (EE) profile.
  • Secondly, have applied under 1 of the sub-streams of the EE system:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Also, meet its Human Capital Factors such as:
    • Age
    • Language Skills
    • Work Experience
    • Education Level
  • Besides, have applied to the EEBC stream of BC PNP, and
  • Have a minimum CRS score of 80.

Further, if you get a nomination against your EE profile then you will get an extra 600 CRS score. This increases your chance of getting an ITA to apply for Canada PR.

In comparison to the last Sep 24 BC PNP Tech Pilot, the Oct 06 BC PNP Tech Pilot issued 2 less ITAs. But the CRS score remained the same.

Thus, looking at the current positive immigration trends right now is the right time to apply for a Canada PR. Because not just the BC PNP draws but Canada’s other immigration streams are also selecting a higher number of applicants. Also, the CRS score requirement is only getting lower. So, if you want to live, settle and or work in Canada then you must apply now.
