NB PNP launches New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Program on Nov 07 2022

New Brunswick and the Canadian federal government under the NB PNP launches New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Program on Nov 07 2022. The NBCWP is a 5 years pilot program. And aims to help international skilled workers who want to settle permanently in the province. This program will help NB to grow its economy and meet labour market needs. Also, the newcomers can settle hassle-free in Canada. To do the same, NBCWP is offering skills and language training.

The province makes such a move to meet its rising critical labour shortage. Thus, NB and the government decided to not let lower language skills be a problem for foreign workers to get a Canada Work Permit.

As a result, the province is taking it upon itself to give skills and language training to applicants who arrive and commit to working in the province. Through the new program, the province will offer Canada work permits to foreign skilled workers. And also help them get permanent residency in Canada.

The list of the 6 employers is as follows:

  1. Cooke Aquaculture
  2. Groupe Savoie

  • Firstly, with a goal of longer-term retention, have strong and effective settlement plans. The international workers coming in must have access to quality housing and transportation facilities. This is to help them settle effortlessly in new job profiles and NB communities.
  • Secondly, must have a sustainable plan for the recruitment of foreign skilled workers. Also, have resources to offer on-the-job training to new foreign recruits.

Also, international workers will find meaningful work life in the NB community”. – Honourable Arlene Dunn
