May 27 MPNP draw selects 404 applicants

Ontario: May 27 MPNP draw selects 404 applicants

As per the latest update, the May 27 MPNP draw selects 404 applicants. Also, the draw targeted applicants from Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO) sub-stream. And a total of 404 applicants have been selected. Besides, to qualify the applicants needed a CRS score of 601. This is the first time in 2021 that Alberta is targeting applicants from the SWO stream only. Thus, in comparison to the last May 25, 2021, MPNP general draw, the current SWO targeted draw:

  • Selected 358 applicants.
  • CRS score is low by 102 points.

So, looking at the above figures, we can expect similar draws to occur in near future. This is great news for applicants overseas. As their chances of getting an ITA to apply for Canada PR increases.

If you are the lucky one who has received an ITA in this draw, then it means you have:

  • An active Express Entry (EE) profile.
  • Have applied to 1 of the EE sub-streams such as:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trade Program (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Also, meet the Human Capital Factors:
    • Age
    • Language Skills
    • Work Experience
    • Education Level
  • Besides, have applied to the OINP SWO stream.
  • Finally, have a CRS score of 601.

When an applicant gets a nomination against their EE profile, they will get an extra 600 CRS score. Thus, the applicants who have an ITA will get extra CRS points. And this will increase their chances of getting an ITA to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

And if you too aspire to settle in Canada then you must apply now. Because Alberta is keeping the CRS score requirement at 300 with just a 1 point increase or decrease from time to time.
