Manitoba sends an invitation to 299 immigration interested candidates

Canada News: The provincial government of Manitoba sends an invitation to 299 immigration interested candidates under MPNP Streams.

On April 25, 299 Immigration candidates were sent an Invitations under MPNP streams. To enumerate, Under MPNP (Manitoba Province Nomination Program), the Manitoba province nominates a certain amount of Immigration Interested candidates each year. This gives an opportunity for candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent residence.

Surprisingly, until April 2019,  the government has already issued 4000 invitations.

Significantly, the nominations are sent to candidates through a variety of streams. In short, the primary focus is to address the specific labor market needs in the Manitoba province.

Introduction to 3 MPNP Streams

To enumerate, below are the three MPNP streams along with their Invitation Break-ups:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 208
  • International Education Stream: 25
  • Skilled Workers Overseas: 66

Meanwhile, the candidates are given invitation under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative, In Addition, the Strategic Recruitment Initiative is in collaboration with employers in Manitoba.

Notably, Under the Skilled Workers Stream, temporary foreign workers and international student graduates are eligible. But there are two conditions for being eligible:

  • The applicants should be working in Manitoba.
  • The applicants must have a Permanent Jobs offer with their Manitoba employer.

EOI (Expression of Interest) Submission a must for Applicants

More importantly, interested candidates should first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). and provide the required information on:

  • Education
  • work experience
  • Skills in English or French
  • Connection to Manitoba

Therefore, the Candidates scoring the highest score are given preference for the invitation process.

As per the recent data from the draw, The lowest score for candidates under the various category was:

  • Skilled workers in Manitoba: 510
  • Skilled Workers Overseas candidates: 632
