Manitoba MPNP new draw invites slip to 400

Nov 02, 2023: Manitoba held its latest MPNP draw. Where we see a significant fall in the selection of applicants to apply for PNP nomination. Manitoba MPNP new draw invites slip to 400 out of which 60 applicants with active EE profile and job seeker validation code have an LAA.

The 400 applicants who have an LAA have been elected under the following MPNP categories:

Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM)

  • Firstly, 204 applicants have an LAA.
  • Secondly, the qualifying EOI score for this category is 785.

International Education Stream (IES)

  • 131 applicants have an LAA.

Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)

  • 65 applicants have an LAA.
  • Also, the EOI score requirement for this category is 708.

In addition, we know the 60 applicants who have an LAA out of 400 LAAs have so because:

  • Firstly, have an active Express Entry (EE) profile under 1 of the EE sub-streams:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Secondly, meet Human Capital Factors:
    • Age
    • Education
    • Work Experience
    • Language Skills
  • Also, applied to the MPNP program.
  • Besides, have a job seeker code.
  • Finally, match the MPNP EOI score to get an LAA.

Moreover, after getting a provincial nomination, EE profile holders get an extra 600 CRS score in the EE pool. As a result, their chances of getting an invitation to apply for a permanent residency visa go up.

Looking at the last similar draw on Oct 5, 2023, we can see a fall of 142 points in LAAs. However, we must consider that the last draw under the SWM category issued LAAs to targeted occupations and all occupations. So, such a change is possible to see.
