Manitoba MPNP draw 507 applicants get LAAs on April 20, 2023

Manitoba holds its new MPNP draw and issues 507 LAAs to qualifying applicants. Besides, out of the 507 LAAs, 91 have been received by applicants with an active Express Entry profile and a Job Seeker Validation Score.

The details of April 20, 2023, MPNP draw is as the following:

Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM)

Occupation-Specific Selection

Applicants who are working in Manitoba in a high-demand occupation have been considered. In addition, the qualifying applicants match the following MPNP draw conditions:

• Firstly, 249 applicants have an LAA.
• Secondly, the qualifying draw score is 615.
• Also, applicants whose occupation comes under the following have an LAA:
  • Sales and services
  • Sales and service representatives and other customer and personal services occupations

All Occupations

• 194 applicants have an LAA.
• The qualifying draw score is 651.

International Education Stream (IES)

• 38 applicants have an LAA.

Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)

Under this MPNP category, applicants have an LAA under the MPNP Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

How do 91 out of 507 applicants have an LAA in the new MPNP draw?

The MPNP program is linked to Canada’s most famous Express Entry (EE) System. The EE system was launched in Jan 2015 and since then has been successfully managing Canada PR visa applications. It is also the system that ensures that the applicants get a quick and easy Canada PR visa in no time.

And in the current draw 91 MPNP PNP applicants have an LAA as they meet the following terms:

• Have an active Express Entry (EE) profile.
• Applied under one of the EE sub-streams such as:
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
• Also, meet Human Capital Factors:
  • Age
  • Education
  • Work Experience
  • Language Skills
• Besides, applied to 1 of the MPNP sub-streams.
• Finally, have a qualifying draw score for the same.

After getting a PNP nomination from MPNP, the 91 EE profile holders will get an extra 600 CRS score against their EE profiles. This means that their chances of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to submit a Canada PR visa application.

So, not only do they get a PNP nomination but their chances of getting a permanent residency visa for Canada also go up.
