Manitoba issues 558 LAAs in New MPNP SWO category draw
April 27, 2023: Manitoba issues 558 LAAs in New MPNP SWO category draw. Out of 558 LAAs, 344 EE applicants have an LAA.
The details of the latest MPNP draw are as the following:
Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)
- Firstly, 558 applicants have an LAA.
- Secondly, the cut-off is set at 616.
Besides, the 344 applicants who have an LAA separately out of a total of 558 LAAs are because:
- Firstly, they have an active EE profile. This means they applied to 1 of the EE sub-stream such as:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Secondly, meet Human Capital Factors:
- Age
- Education
- Work Experience
- Language Skills
- Also, have a valid Job Seeker Validation Code.
- Besides, have the minimum draw qualifying score of 616.
Further, the current draw targeting only MPNP SWO category applicants is not new. In the past, such draws have been happening for quite a long time. To understand the pattern of the same, we can look at the MPNP SWO draw from 2019-2022.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is the first program of the PNP. And became a permanent Canadian immigration program in 1998. Since, then the province via MPNP has been selecting a huge number of applicants.
