Latest PNP draw invites 589 Express Entry candidates with a CRS score of 692
On April 29, 2020, Canada invited Express Entry applicants to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
If you received an invite in this draw then it means:
- Firstly, you have an active express entry profile;
- Secondly, your profile meets the Human Capital Factors such as age, language, education and work experience;
- You received a provincial nomination earlier which means extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was added to your profile;
- Also, your profile has the minimum qualifying 692 CRS score in the April 29, draw.
Besides, the 692 score is the lowest CRS score for PNP specific Express Entry draws. The CRS score fell 6 points as compared to the April 9 draw which had a CRS score of 698. Also, the tie-breaker rule used in this draw by IRCC was March 11, 2020, at 13:46:21. This means that candidates with a CRS score of 698 and more, as well as a profile with a CRS score of 629, who submitted their profiles on this day and time, have received an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
April 29 PNP Express Entry draw is the 12th draw of 2020. As of now, the total number of invites issued this year has reached up to 30,989.
Express Entry – Fast-tracking issuing of invites for a Canada PR
The Express Entry (EE) system is one of the most popular Canada immigration pathways. It handles applications from 3 economic immigration stream such as:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Applicants applying to the EE system are placed in an EE pool where their profiles are given a ranking as per the term of the program. Applicants who receive a high CRS score are selected to apply for permanent residence in Canada in regular draws.
2020 is the year of Express Entry as frequent draws are targeting PNP and Canadian Experience Class applicants. In the first quarter of 2020 IRCC has issued more invites than the first quarter of the past 2 years. Also, April 16 draw the CRS score was the lowest at 455. So far in April, IRCC has already issued 8,389 invites to applicants. Earlier the highest number of invites sent in a month was 8,000 in February.
As a result, looking at the increasing frequency of Canada immigration draws, we can only expect frequent draws and a large number of applicants getting a Canada PR.
