Latest MPNP draw issued 268 invites slight draw condition change

Nov 30, 2023: Manitoba recently shared details for the last draw in November month. Where the latest MPNP draw issued 268 invites slight draw condition change. And surprisingly we see a slight change in the MPNP draw pattern. For the first time, Manitoba directly selected applicants who have a close relative in Manitoba. Looking at the following details shall shed clear light on the same.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM)

Close-relative in Manitoba Selection

This draw condition applied to applicants who have a close relative in Manitoba. But the relative must meet conditions such as:

  • Firstly, be a PR holder or citizen of Canada.
  • Secondly, must be 10 years of age or older.
  • Also, he/she/it has been living in Manitoba for a minimum period of 1 year.
  • Besides, your Manitoba supporter must submit a settlement plan for you.
  • In case you as an applicant or your spouse/partner, fail to establish a relationship with your Manitoba supporter you must reject your PNP invitation.

Moreover, in the current Nov 30, 2023, MPNP draw, we see a slight draw condition change:

  • Firstly, 148 applicants have an LAA.
  • Secondly, the qualifying EOI score is set at 609.

International Education Stream (IES)

  • 82 applicants have an invitation under this MPNP category.

Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)

  • Firstly 38 applicants have an LAA.
  • Secondly, the qualifying EOI score is 720.
  • Also, the applicants have been selected under the MPNP Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

However, out of 268 LAAs, 50 have been issued to applicants who have an active Express Entry (EE) profile and a Job Seeker Validation Code.

Will the slight draw condition change affect future MPNP draw results?

Changes in draw patterns are evident. As they cater to the economic and labour market needs of a province/Canada. As a result, the slight change in draw conditions may sound surprising but is a positive part of the larger picture.

With the slight condition change, we can expect Canada to rope in applicants with direct connections to Manitoba. Also, it will fast-track the selection of applicants. However. one must forget that selection criteria vary. Also, it emphasises the selection of applicants as per their targeted occupations and simultaneously from all occupations.

So, the new slight change is a positive addition to the overall MPNP draw pattern.
