Invitations sent from Prince Edward Island Province to Immigration Candidates
On April 18th, 2019, Prince Edward Island held a monthly draw for Immigration candidates. Which includes, a total of 130 candidates. Further, there were three different categories of invitation:
- Express Entry
- Labor Impact
- Business Impact Immigration
To point out, 113 candidates were given an invitation for Express entry and Labor impact categories. These categories can apply for a Canadian Permanent residence. Whereas, 17 entrepreneur candidates were also in through Business Impact Immigration. The Business Impact Immigration includes Work Permit Stream Category.
EOI (Expression of Interest) Profile a must
To emphasize, Express Entry Candidates who want to apply for provincial nomination must first complete a separate EOI profile with the PEI PNP.
Moreover, the EOI score which is done on the basis of:
- Education
- Work experience
- Proficiency in English or French.
To point out, the highest scoring candidates are given preference. furthermore, candidates receiving a provincial nomination are given an additional 600 points.
Details for Labor Impact Immigration
Another key point is the non-alignment of PEI’s Labor Impact category with the Express Entry System. EOI streams include:
- Skilled Workers (in PEI and outside Canada),
- International Graduates and
- Critical Workers.
Most Importantly, Candidates applying for these streams must be:
- working in PEI or
- have an eligible full-time long-term job offer from an employer in the province,

Moreover, for PEI’s Business Impact, Work Permit Stream is for eligible foreign entrepreneurs with business ownership or eligible management experience who would like to invest in and run a business in PEI.
To conclude, The Work Permit stream also operates on an EOI basis.
