First Alberta AAIP 2024 draw selects 42 healthcare applicants

First Alberta AAIP 2024 draw selects 42 healthcare applicants

Alberta starts the new year on a note of selecting applicants from the healthcare sector. And we see the First Alberta AAIP 2024 draw selects 42 healthcare applicants on Jan 02, 2024.

Applicants who have NOIs in this draw meet the following AAIP draw terms:

  • Firstly, 42 applicants have an NOI.
  • Secondly, the CRS score requirement is 309.
  • Also, applicants have been selected:
    • From AAIP healthcare pathway.
    • Have an Alberta job offer.
    • Besides, have a CRS score above 300.

Alberta under its Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) selects skilled workers as per its labour market needs. The Alberta Express Entry stream is directly linked to the Express Entry (EE) System. Thus, the province selects applicants as per its requirements directly from the EE pool.

Just like 42 healthcare applicants have an NOI in the first Alberta AAIP 2024 draw. They too have been selected because they:

  • Firstly, have an active Express Entry (EE) profile.
  • Secondly have applied under 1 of the EE sub-streams:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Also, meet Human Capital Factors:
    • Age
    • Education
    • Work Experience
    • Language Skills
  • In addition, match the draw terms of the AAIP Jan 02, 2024, draw.

After getting an NOI applicants can apply to Alberta for a provincial nomination. Post nomination they will get an extra 600 CRS points in the EE pool. As a result, their chances of getting an ITA for a Canada PR visa go up.

In addition, looking at the current draw we see Alberta has great demand for healthcare applicants. So, this is the reason, Alberta chose to start the year by selecting 42 healthcare applicants.
