Express Entry Draw: CRS Cut-off Score Decreased by Three Points
Express Entry Draw: CRS Cut-off Score Decreased by Three Points
In the latest Express Entry Draw held on June 26th, the Canadian government invited 3,350 candidates for Canadian permanent residence. Previously, the minimum CRS score of the Express Entry Draw was 470.
The June 12th CRS cut-off score of 465 decreased on June 26th to 462. In fact, for the second progressive time from May 29, the decrease took place.
Therefore, the gap between each draw increases the cut-off score providing higher-scoring candidates. Overall, the time wasted between two draws lead to the CRS score cut-off.
CRS score ranks the foreign candidates in the Express Entry Draw. Factors like the candidate’s age, work experience, skill level, IELTS score, etc leads to a high CRS score.
The Canadian government started the Express Entry system, the main source to bring skilled foreign workers. Firstly, the applicant submits his profile in the Express Entry pool. From that, the highest scorer gets an Invitation to Apply (ITA). If the candidate is not instantly invited to apply, they stay in the selection pool for 12 months. Consequently, the applicant gets 60 days to apply for permanent residence.
The government says “while in the selection pool, the candidate can continue to improve his or her score by among other things gaining more relevant work experience, improving education level, improving language score, or getting a job offer in Canada”.
Government Sets 81,400 as the Target for 2019 Express Entry Draw
