British Columbia selects upto 161 candidates to apply for PNP nomination

June 06, 2023: British Columbia selects upto 161 candidates to apply for PNP nomination. In the 2 part draw series (Tech + Targeted draw) the province selected up to 161 applicants. And these applicants after getting an invitation can apply for a provincial nomination certificate.

 

The details of the BC PNP draw are as the following:

Draw 1 – Tech draw: 112 applicants have an invitation.

  • Firstly, 112 applicants have an invitation.
  • Secondly, applicants have been selected from Skilled Worker, International Graduate with EEBC category.
  • Also, applicants who have an invitation their job profile come under the tech sector.
  • Besides, to qualify applicants needed a qualifying score of 90.

 

Draw 2 – Targeted draw: Up to 49 applicants have an invitation.

Skilled Worker, EEBC option, and International Graduate category

  • Firstly, 24 applicants have the invitation to apply for a BC PNP nomination.
  • Secondly, applicants whose job profile comes under the following occupation sector have an invitation:
    • Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202)

 

EEBC option, International Graduate, Skilled Worker category

  • Firstly, 24 applicants have the invitation to apply for a BC PNP nomination.
  • Secondly, applicants whose job profile comes under the healthcare sector have an invitation.

 

International Graduate, Skilled Worker, EEBC option

  • Firstly, less than 5 applicants have the invitation to apply for a BC PNP nomination.
  • Secondly, applicants whose job profile comes under other priority occupations such as:
    • NOCs 31103 – Veterinarians
    • NOCs 32104 – Animal health technologists and veterinary technicians

Besides, to qualify in part 2 of June 06, 2023, BC PNP draw, applicants needed to have a minimum qualifying score of 60.

British Columbia selects upto 161 candidates to apply for PNP nomination. Whereas May 23, 2023, draw selected 144 applicants for nomination. This means that the current draw issued 17 more invitations to qualifying applicants.

In addition, in comparison to the May 23, 2023, BC PNP draw we can see the following updates:

Draw 1 – Tech draw

  • Current draw issues 9 more invites than the last similar BC PNP draw of May 23, 2023.
  • But the qualifying draw score remains the same at 90.

Draw 2 – Targeted draw

  • We see a total of 8 points rise in the issuing of invitations.
  • However, we do not see any change in the qualifying draw score.

So, looking at the above details we can see a positive rise in the selection of applicants for PNP nomination.

 

British Columbia selects 161 candidates on June 06, 2023. But how do EEBC applicants benefit from the same?

Firstly to apply to the BC PNP Express Entry BC (EEBC) category the applicants had to do the following:

  • Have an active EE profile in the Express Entry (EE) System.
  • To do the same apply to 1 of the EE sub-streams such as:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Meet Human Capital Factors such as:
    • Age
    • Education
    • Work Experience
    • Language Skills
  • Further, apply to the EEBC category.
  • Finally, match the qualifying draw score in the BC PNP.

 

Upon getting an invitation from BC for nomination you must submit a complete and error-free PNP application. BC PNP will thoroughly check your application and award you Provincial Nomination Certificate if satisfactory. After getting a PNC against your EE profile you will get an addition of 600 points in the EE pool. 

As a result, your chances of getting invited for a Canada PR visa in an Express Entry draw go up. In short, getting a PNC and the addition of 600 CRS points is beneficial to get a Canada PR visa. Moreover, in the latest June 08, 2023, Express Entry Draw Canada selected 4800 applicants with a CRS cut-off requirement of 486.
