Breaking News New EE Draw Issues 5500 ITAs Again
For the first time in the history of the Express Entry draws, IRCC did not proceed with its bimonthly draw pattern. Instead, it released a second EE draw on Jan 18, 2023. As per the breaking news new EE draw issues 5500 ITAs again.
The first EE draw on Jan 11, 2023, issued 5,500 ITAs with a CRS cut-off requirement of 507. But in the latest draw, we can see the number of ITAs is the same. But the CRS cut-off is lower by 17 points bringing it to 490.
In addition, as IRCC has broken its pattern of holding bimonthly draws in subsequent gaps, the entire immigration sector is speculating on the outcomes of the upcoming draws. It is being widely discussed that IRCC is trying to make up for the gap of 7 weeks which resulted in no draws in Dec 2022. However, IRCC’s unexpected approach is beneficial to people who seek permanent residency in Canada.
This is because if IRCC forgoes the bimonthly structure then the selection of applicants will go up. Thereby, we can see a rise in ITAs and a fall in the CRS cut-off. Even if we do not see a change in the draw pattern, we should expect a rise in ITAs and a fall in the CRS cut-off. As evident from the comparison between the current and the Jan 11, 2023 EE draw.
As New EE draw issues 5500 ITAs again how can one apply to the EE System?
Looking at the positive EE draw outcomes, if you wish to settle in Canada via the Express Entry (EE) System then you must do the following:
- Firstly, apply to 1 of the EE sub-streams such as:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
- Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
- Also, meet Human Capital Factors:
- Age
- Education
- Work Experience
- Language Skills
- Finally, match the IRCC cut-off to get an ITA for PR.
In case your CRS rank is lower in the EE pool, you can always apply for a provincial nomination. This is one of the best options out of the multiple options Canada gives to increase the CRS rank. This is because when you get a nomination against your EE profile, you get an extra 600 CRS score in the EE pool. And with the rise in the overall rank, your chances of getting an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to submit a complete and error-free Canada PR visa application goes up.
After PR visa application approval, IRCC will give you a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) letter.
Is it wise to apply for PR in 2023?
So, anyone who wishes to apply for a Canada visa via the Express Entry (EE) System must do so now. However, if you have a lower CRS rank or are stuck in the EE pool with no hope, do not worry. Because Express Entry and other PNP draws are showing positive results. As a result, it is good to invest in the Canada visa pathway that best suits your needs. Now let immigration experts guide you to take the right step in the right direction.
