BC announced on May 28, 2021, the extension of the BC PNP Tech Pilot. However, they did change the name of the program to BC PNP Tech. With the same aim of BC employers hiring foreign skilled workers in the absence of local talent. All such efforts are to grow the tech sector of BC.
As a result, BC PNP Tech selects applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. And their occupation falls under 1 of the 29 eligible tech occupations.
The province also adds to the chances of qualifying applicants getting an ITA for Canada PR. This applies to applicants who have a nomination from BC under the EEBC category.
To qualify under EEBC you need to meet the following terms:
- Have an active Express Entry (EE) profile.
- Have applied to 1 of the EE sub-streams:
- Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
