BC invites 183 applicants in targeted PNP draw

Sep 12, 2023: British Columbia – BC invites 183 applicants in targeted PNP draw. In the 2-part draw series applicants from the Tech, Childcare, and Healthcare sectors under the BC PNP Skilled Worker, International Graduates with EEBC option have been selected to apply for PNP nomination. The draw details are as follows:

Part 1 – Tech draw

• Firstly, 133 applicants from the tech sector have an invitation.
• Secondly, the qualifying EOI score is 88.

Part 2 – Targeted draw

• Firstly, 36 applicants from the childcare sector have an invitation.
• Secondly, 14 applicants from the healthcare sector have an invitation.
• Also, the qualifying EOI score for the targeted draw is set at 60.

Besides, in comparison, to the last similar Tech + Targeted draw of Aug 29, 2023, we can see the following positive updates:

• Firstly, in the current draw, BC invited a total of 29 more applicants.
• Secondly, we can see:
  • 31 more tech applicants have an invitation.
  • 8 more applicants from the childcare sector have an invitation.
  • However, 6 fewer applicants from the healthcare sector have an invitation.

So, looking at the above details we can see a positive rise in the selection of applicants. And we should continue to expect such positive changes in the upcoming draws.

Besides, applicants from the EEBC category who get a PNP invitation have a higher advantage. This is because the BC PNP EEBC category is linked to the Express Entry (EE) System. As a result, when these applicants get a nomination, they receive an extra 600 points in the EE pool. As a result, their chances of getting an ITA to submit a Canada PR Visa application go up.
