646 invitations issued from Saskatchewan to Express Entry and Occupation-in-demand applicants

As on Feb 13, 2020, Saskatchewan issued 646 invites to immigration applicants. The invited people can now apply to get selected by the province for permanent residence. On January 13, 2020, the province issued 234 invites. Moreover, the province saw a 3 times increase in issuing of invites as compared to last month.

All invited applicants need to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) with their SINP application. EOI is a pre-application process where you show your intent to live and work in the province. You need to apply to the International Skilled Worker EOI system. In this system, Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program SINP will check if your profile meets the SINP terms and conditions. The selection process happens as per a point grid system and the selection factors are:

  • Age
  • Education Level
  • Work Experience and Training
  • Language Skills
  • Adaptability

To qualify, you need a min score of 60 out of 100. This will allow you to apply under the ISW SINP program.

As per your high score, SINP will issue you an Invitation to Apply (ITA). After which you can apply to the province to get selected for Canada PR.

The province issued 277 applicants with profiles in the Federal Express Entry pool.

Saskatchewan’s Express Entry links with Canada’s Federal Express Entry System. This system manages profiles from 3 main economic-class immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Class
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class
  • Canadian Experience Class

As per Feb 13, 2020 draw, your profile will get an ITA if:

  • You have an active express entry profile.
  • You sent an EOI to SINP.
  • You have a min 70 score in the SINP point assessment grid.

If Saskatchewan selects you, then you will get an extra 600 points for your CRS score. CRS is a ranking system that ranks profiles in the federal Express Entry system. This ranking allows the govt to select potential candidates for Canada Immigration.

Post selection of your profile, you will get an invite to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

369 invites issued by Saskatchewan to the occupation-in demand applicants.

Occupations-in-demand is a part of the International Skilled Worker category in the SINP. If you do not have an express entry profile then you can apply under this category. You must get a min score of 70 out of 100 to qualify in the SINP.

In the Feb 13, 2020 draw, the province issued invites to candidates from 107 occupations.
