Express Entry System for Manitoba

Express Entry System is one of Canada’s top immigration pathways for permanent residence. This system manages 3 main programs for migration to Canada:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Class
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class
  • Canadian Experience Class

Once you have approval under any of the above programs you will get a CRS score. CRS is a ranking system that ranks profiles in the federal Express Entry system. And allows the govt to select potential profiles for Canada Immigration.

Following are the factors to check your CRS score:

  • Age
  • Education Level
  • Work Experience and Training
  • Language Skills
  • Adaptability

All applicants who want to apply for Canada PR must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the MPNP.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) – Submitting an EOI.

If you want to get a Canada PR visa, then you must apply with an EOI to the MPNP. You can apply through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and Skilled Workers Overseas streams. An EOI is an online profile ranking process. Here, your profile will get a ranking based on the following terms:

  • Age
  • Education Level
  • Work Experience and Training
  • Language Skills
  • Adaptability and other factors

The province will issue an invite to apply (ITA) as per your rank in the EOI pool. After getting an ITA or LAA, you can apply to IRCC for permanent residence in Canada.

In the latest draw on Feb 13, 2020, to qualify in the EOI pool:

  • You need to get a min score of 525 in the Skilled workers for Manitoba option to qualify.
  • You need to get a min score of 611 in the Skilled Worker Overseas option to qualify.

Out of 242, 15 invites were for applicants with valid EES id and job seeker validation code.

What are the key terms which can make you lose your ITA or Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA)?

The following scenarios can make MPNP refuse your profile:

  • MPNP will consider your profile if you have an invite under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
  • MPNP will refuse your EOI if you do not have a valid EES id and job seeker validation code. To qualify you must have valid work experience in Manitoba’s in-demand job list.
  • Even if your score is higher than the lowest ranking applicant. This can happen if you didn’t share a valid language test number or your test results are not valid.
  • You did not give a valid invite number under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative to MPNP.
  • If you have an incomplete EOI.
  • You fail to give proof of work experience for a licensed job and or have no valid license.
