2281 Tech applicants invited in new OINP HCP stream draw

March 21, 2024: Ontario holds 4th OINP Human Capital Priorities stream draw. 2281 Tech applicants invited in new OINP HCP stream draw. The draw selected the highest number of tech applicants up till now in 2024.

  • Firstly, 2281 applicants have an invitation to apply for PNP nomination.
  • Secondly, the CRS score range is 468-480.
  • Also, applicants who submitted their profiles between March 21, 2023, and March 21, 2024, have invitations.
  • Besides, to qualify the applicant’s job profile must come under 1 of the 15 tech occupations such as:
    1. NOC 20012 – Computer and information systems managers
    2. NOC 21211 – Data Scientists
    3. NOC 21220 – Cybersecurity specialists
    4. NOC 21221 – Business systems specialists
    5. NOC 21222 – Information systems specialists
    6. NOC 21223 – Database analysts and data administrators
    7. NOC 21230 – Computer systems developers and programmers
    8. NOC 21231 – Software engineers and designers
    9. NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers
    10. NOC 21233 – Web designers
    11. NOC 21234 – Web developers and programmers
    12. NOC 21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)
    13. NOC 22220 – Computer network technicians
    14. NOC 22221 – User support technicians
    15. NOC 22222 – Information systems testing technicians

In addition, to this, the OINP Human Capital Priorities stream is linked to the Express Entry (EE) System. As a result, to initially apply the 2281 tech applicants had to meet these criteria:

  • Firstly, create an EE profile under 1 of the EE sub-streams:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Secondly, meet Human Capital Factors:
    • Age
    • Education
    • Work Experience
    • Language Skills
  • Also, qualify to apply to the OINP HCP stream.

Besides, after getting a nomination, these 2281 applicants will get an extra 600 CRS score in the EE pool. As a result, their chances of getting an ITA for a Canada PR visa are higher.
