212 French Speakers qualify in latest OINP Express Entry draw

June 20, 2024: After a gap of 5 months Ontario finally holds its much-awaited OINP Express Entry linked French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream draw. 212 French Speakers qualify in latest OINP Express Entry draw.

  • Firstly, 212 French speakers have PNP invites in the latest OINP Express Entry draw.
  • Secondly, the CRS score cut-off range for this draw is 305 – 409.
  • Also, the French speakers who have an invitation created their EE profile between June 20, 2023, – June 20, 2024.

In addition, to the above, as the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream is linked to the Express Entry (EE) System, the applicants needed to do the following to apply:

  • Firstly, create a profile under 1 of the EE sub-streams such as:
    • Federal Skilled Worker Stream (FSWP)
    • Federal Skilled Trades Stream (FSTP)
    • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Secondly, meet Human Capital Factors:
    • Age
    • Education
    • Work Experience
    • Language Skills

Moreover, in comparison to the first OINP Express Entry draw for French speakers on Jan 18, 2024, we can see the following changes in the current draw:

  • Firstly, the PNP invitations are lower by 772 points.
    • This is a high margin in terms of a gap in the selection of applicants between 2 draws.
  • Secondly, for the cut-off range, we see the base figure is lower by 12 points whereas the upper figure is lower by 60 points.
    • This is great news as the CRS cut-off range is lower by a higher margin.

In conclusion, the ITAs will now go up for French speakers. However, it is unclear when OINP will hold the next OINP Express Entry draw for French Speakers.

Besides, applicants after, getting a PNP nomination, will get an extra 600 CRS score in the EE pool. This raises their chance of getting a Canada PR visa.
