188th Express Entry draw selects 1842 CEC applicants

May 20, 2021: Canada’s 188th Express Entry draw selects 1842 CEC applicants.

Canada in its latest draw targeted CEC applicants where the 188th Express Entry draw selects 1842 CEC applicants. To qualify in this draw the applicants needed a minimum CRS score of 397. Also, in comparison to the last May 13, 2021, CEC draw in the current draw:

  • Selected 2305 applicants.
  • CRS score is lower by 4 points.

Usually, lower draw figures showcase that Canada is selecting a low number of applicants. But in the current scenario a fall like this good for future applicants. Because the current draw shows that the EE pool is getting empty at a faster rate. This means that new applicants who apply have a higher chance of getting an ITA to apply for Canada PR.

And everyone knows the benefit of getting a nomination against an EE profile. If you have a provincial nomination against your EE profile, then you will get an extra 600 CRS score. This score increases your chances of getting an ITA to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

However, in an EE draw like today, you can only get an ITA if you have:

  • Applied to the Express Entry (EE) System.
  • Applied to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) sub-stream.
  • Also, meet the terms to apply for the same.
  • Meet Human Capital Factors such as:
    • Age
    • Education Level
    • Work Experience
    • Language Skill
  • Finally, have a CRS score of 397 or more.
